Salary:                        £50,000 p.a. Local government pensions scheme

Reports to:                  Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Hours:                         Full time, 52 weeks per year (includes 6 weeks holiday and flexible working hours may be considered)

Start date:                   January 2020

This is a new and exciting role to join our multi academy trust. The Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO and be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the financial and specified business activities of the Trust.  Within the trust we have 1100 pupils, 180 members of staff and our annual budget revenue is in the region of £6,510000.

You will be expected to take on executive functions and provide operational line management for the Finance team; responsible for all the financial accounting and transaction finance for the Trust, ensuring all systems are updated and reporting is timely and in line with all annual financial returns.  The CFO will be based at Wolverham Primary School in Ellesmere Port.

This is a hands-on role and the CFO will be working alongside our CEO and will be commercially focused and expected to provide clear financial and commercial direction for the Trust.  You will be tasked with keeping ahead of all funding and legislative changes that apply to the education sector and required to advise the Board of strategic financial information to enable them to make informed financial decisions.
